Trina Woelfle

Trina Woelfle's life has always revolved around sports.
A dedicated high school physical education teacher, coach, and former college athlete, Trina became frustrated with the college recruitment process as she witnessed many talented young athletes slip through the cracks. She decided to focus her energy and expertise on supporting their goals and dreams with affordable video recruitment tools that would empower students to promote their athletic talents to colleges.

As a coach, athlete and mom, Trina is expertly qualified to advise families on smart recruitment strategies for high school athletes. Her credentials are impressive:

• Nearly a decade teaching high school physical education
• Extensive experience coaching basketball, track and field, soccer, and cross country
• A roster of personal friends who coach or have coached Division I level sports such as golf, volleyball, and football
• An active, life-long resident of Reno with connections to the area’s most respected high school and club coaches

Trina has put all of that passion and performance into Next Play Productions. Not only does Trina's service create the smartest, most affordable videos, she also arms students with connections to colleges that wouldn't otherwise know about their athletic abilities.

Trina hires only highly-trained, athletically-experienced videographers as a part of her team, and she aims to match each videographer with the sports in which they are most experienced. She regularly reviews recruitment trends and information and modifies her shooting and editing guidelines to reflect the most accurate and up-to-date information in the field.

A primarily local business with aspirations to franchise to other cities, Next Play Productions aspires to eventually help local talented athletes from low-income areas to further their education and improve their financial situation by using their talent to get into college, and then using the college to develop their minds.

While taking an entrepreneurial class at the local university, Trina entered a national contest for ABC's "Good Morning America" entitled YOU, INC. The contest searched to find motivated women with a good idea and an entrepreneurial attitude. Out of more than 2,000 essay entries, Trina was selected as one of the ten finalists and was required to submit her entire business plan for final selection. She was flown to New York to appear on the show live with anchor Robin Roberts and other finalists. Little did Trina know, the expert judging panel had already selected her as one of two winners and surprised her on national TV.
